Key findings

Annual report of Forum for Social Integration of Immigrants, that acts as a consultative body of the Ministry of Employment and Social Security and it´s integrated by many CSOs organizations.
For the first time deals with Islamophobia in its report.
It states that in Spain the perception of immigration as a problem has increased, very much linked to the way in which Member States are reacting to the humanitarian crisis, the migration and the terrorism.
The report identified an increase on the identification of migrants and seekers of international protection with the Muslim religion, as well as an increase in incidents related to Islamophobia.
The women of the Muslim faith, among other reasons, due to the lack of consensus on the use of religious symbols in public spaces, are one of the objectives of these incidents.
